Terms of Use
What Keel is, what it is not, how the subscription works, and who to contact.
What Keel is
Keel is an iPhone app that works out a daily protein floor for people on GLP-1 medication and records whether you cleared it. It is a tracking and education tool.
What Keel is not
Keel is not medical advice and not a medical device. It does not recommend a dose, a titration schedule, or when or how to stop taking anything. A target set by your clinician always overrides the number Keel calculates.
The protein range Keel uses is drawn from obesity, geriatric and sports-nutrition research. No trial has yet tested a protein target in GLP-1 users specifically.
Subscription and payment
Keel costs $59.99 a year, after a 7-day free trial. Apple takes the payment, not us: it is an in-app purchase billed to your Apple Account, and it renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
Refunds are Apple's — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Prices can change; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
There is no account
Keel has no login and no password. Restoring a subscription on a new phone means signing in with the same Apple Account and tapping Restore Purchases. There is nothing for us to delete and nothing for us to restore — your data is on your phone.
Acceptable use
Use Keel for yourself. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer it, resell it, or use it to give anyone else clinical advice.
Liability
Keel is provided as it is, without warranty. It is a tracker, and a tracker can be wrong. Decisions about your health are yours and your prescriber's.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them, and the app says so before the change affects anything you have paid for.
Who you are contracting with
Keel is sold through the App Store by its developer, as an individual. The governing jurisdiction is not settled yet, and this page will name it rather than leave it implied.
